Hippo Hydraulics is a relative newcomer in the hydraulic market. Operating out of Breda, The Netherlands, Hippo Hydraulics has recently delivered a series of 3 diesel driven hydraulic power packs to ALE Heavylift. Within days of delivery the first sets were put to work in Germany and England where they performed efficiently and without problems. Operators were particularly impressed with the quietness of operation due to the newly developed acoustic enclosure, reducing noise to approximately half the level stipulated in the European Directives for mobile machinery.
These power packs are primarily designed to simultaneously operate 4 hydraulic jacking cylinders, or 4 hydraulic strand jacks, however they will also be used for winch drives in some applications. Designed for durability and robustness, Perkins diesel motors were chosen based on their proven track record for reliability and worldwide service. ALE plans to use these hydraulic power packs over the whole world. Hippo Hydraulics looks forward to more orders from ALE Heavylift, and of course from other clients.
